If the library doesn't have a book you want, you can often get a copy through CSU+

CSU+ is:

  • free for Fresno State students, faculty, and staff.
  • quick. Items arrive in 2-4 business days
  • convienient.  You request your items online, and we notify you by email when they are ready for pickup.
  • extensive.  Books from all 23 CSU+ libraries are available in CSU+

To search CSU+, start at the Library Homepage, enter your search terms, and click the link for CSU+ Books and Media.


Within your results, items from other libraries will display "Unavailable at Fresno State. See Request Options" as the item status. Click that link.

In order to request an item through CSU+, it needs to be available at another library.  Click the "See availability at other CSU Libraries" to check availbility. If the item is available, you can use the link to request from CSU+.   You must be signed in for the link to appear.

If your your book is unavailable through CSU+, you can try requesting it through interlibrary loan.


For articles and books not found in Link+, you will need to use the ILLiad interlibrary loan service. You will often find a link to request the article when you click on Find it @ Fresno State from the databases if the full text of an article isn't available. Otherwise, log in to InterLibrary Loan Online - ILLiad to request materials, ask for renewals, and check the status of requests.

  • Login to ILLiad with your campus user name and password
  • You must use your Fresno State email address in the Change Personal Information form. Student addresses end with:
  • You will receive an email once the requested material has arrived
  • Articles will be delivered via your ILLiad account and available for 30 days
